Projects

Typically spearhead projects from
$5 – $500 million, with teams size of
5 – 50 engineering and technical staff (depending on project size and complexity of project).
Extensive history of structural design engineering. Designed & Fabricated several hundred steel oilfield/marine structures. Expert level with AutoCAD® and SolidWorks® I've engineered structures to AISC, API, ABS/USCG standards. Typically, managing production, installation, and final commissioning.

risk managemt

Risk Management quantifies the likelihood of an event occurring that leads to one or more consequences for the project objectives.   Typically I develop Risk Response Plans by facilitating project team “Risk Workshops”, to identify project risks, apply appropriate risk/consequence ranking, and determine potential negative cost/schedule impacts. Then apply team developed risk mitigation actions/strategies and target deadlines assigned the appropriate party to best own (manage) that risks mitigation plan. I then impartially monitor risk owners progress mitigating their assigned actions/strategies, to evaluate the results and proposed any needed corrective actions/strategies. The mitigation process is repeated for the projects life-cycle.

Team databases

Every project I’ve managed over the last 23 plus years has required the development of integrated relational databases to control project scheduling, field production, personnel, warehouse logistics, and tracking systems.   Typically I write (code/program) three to six linked databases (as required) to successfully manage each project, depending on each projects scope and complexity. Each Database incorporated an array of custom functions for accounting, engineering calculations, construction scheduling, materials & equipment control, with linked WBS Tracking tables. The SFI Grouping System was tied to the WBS tracking system to obtain project progress reports sorted by mechanical/electrical system as well as WBS.

Structural

Extensive history of Structural Design Engineering.   I've Designed & Fabricated several hundred steel oilfield/marine structures. Expert level with AutoCAD® and SolidWorks® I've engineered structures to AISC, API, ABS/USCG standards. Typically, I will then manage production, installation, and final commissioning.
